Welcome to the Shropshire County Closed 2024

This years tournament is open for entries until the 8th of August and the draws will be available by the 11th of August. All matches must be arranged by the players and be played by the scheduled dates.

Start date: 11th Aug 2024
Round One 31st Aug 2024 - (3 weeks)
Round Two & Plate Round One 14th Sept 2024 - (2 weeks)
Quarter finals: 21st Sept 2024 - (1 week)
Semi-finals: 28th Sept 2024 - (1 week)
finals: 5th Oct 2024 - To be hosted by Shrewsbury Squash & Racketball Club

Squash
Main Draw - Open to all
Ladies - open to all ladies
Over 45's - open to players over 45 by 01/08/24
Over 55's - Open to players over 55 by 01/08/24
Over 65's - Open to players over 65by 01/08/24
B Grade - Open to players that have NOT played Div1 Squash (23/24 season)
Racketball
Main Draw - Open to all
Over 60's - Open to players over 60 by 01/08/24
B Grade - Open to player ranked 2 or below in the county racketball leagues (23/24 & summer season)

Match format: PAR Scoring (point a rally), best of five games, first to eleven with two clear points.

All draws will have plate competitions, these will be available on the 18th August and all players losing their first match will automatically be entered. (to keep the tournament on track "Byes" will count as first match won)
