My son participated in U10 green boys section. There were many issues; 1) Arrival time of officials: on the second day, officials arrived only after 7:45 while the first matches were scheduled at 8:00, 2) Match format: before the tournament we were told "30-min timed match" for the round robin and "short-set" for the playoff, however, the tournament was commenced based on the "best of 7 games" for all the matches without any reasons provided, 3) Dispute over line calls: there was a specific player who caused line call dispute for almost all his matches. He also consistently showed a bad/offensive attitude to his opponents without respect. Officials should have given this player at least a warning given he didn't show any signs to change his habit, 4) Players were instructed to leave balls on court after the match. As a result of this, worn-out balls were used for some matches even at semi-finals and the final, and, 5) Unfortunately, there were several parents smoking in the area visible from kids. Thanks to the delightful and motivated players, my son enjoyed the tournament overall. However, I would like to request TSA officials to perform their duties properly to provide a better environment.
