What a great weekend!

 

Beautiful weather, awesome tennis, what more could we ask for?

 

Thanks to everyone who participated.

 

We had 16 entries in the Singles Tournament and 10 teams, 20 people, in the Doubles Tournament.

 

And the winners are:

 

 

After 3 gruelling rounds, Rene beat Mariano Chan in a final that was well worth waiting all day to see.  It was definitely a clinic for the rest of us.  Congratulations Rene!

 

 

After a tough first round loss, Darryl ran the tables and won the consolation final over Jocelyn St. Pierre.  Congratulations Darryl!

 

 

After the morning Round Robin format, Denis and Mariano made it through to the semi-finals and eventually the finals where they were victorious over the father-daughter duo of GIlles & Kiersten Trottier.  Congratulations Denis & Mariano!

 

Again, thanks to everyone who participated, and the fans who came to cheer them on.

 

Special thanks to Don Bazeley who co-chaired the tournament.  Don and I were unfortunately too busy to compete but we did get a few games in when we could.
